Everyone Loves A Firefighter

Firefighters: women love them and men want to be them. As I count down the days to the digital release of SANTA TO THE RESCUE, my Christmas firefighter tale, I can’t help but admire photographs of men in turnouts.

Here’s a picture of a firefighter as I imagined him in my fictional world of the Appleton Fire Company, set in Southeastern Pennsylvania apple orchard country. Like the hero of my story, Jamey Tucker, he’s just finished fighting an overnight fire.

Wouldn’t you like to have this man safeguarding your neighborhood?
